That should have been

sudo echo -e  \n "deb 
http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/ubuntuzilla/mozilla/apt all 
main"  \n  >> /etc/apt/sources.list

(removed the '>' from between deb and http, it having been left there 
due to incomplete cleaning after copying and pasting from message to 
which reply was being made)
