i just called "modinfo forcedeth" when i saw this and found there are
quite some "param" lines to allow you to tweak the module settings and
the "optimization_mode" one looks like it can massively influence
behaviour ---
no idea where to find details about the options or parameters though,
but i guess google will help with that ... :)
