Hi,

we often can't enable the best backup strategy, but at least we can
avoid the worst of all, which is a single backup drive
continuously connected without galvanic isolation to the computer.

I can't comment on the quality of all those available USB isolators.
However, due to all those fishy switching power supplies, you probably
at least should also use an isolating transformer.
