Getting things finalized on an HP Z840 far as a Graphics card goes.

I've found a few but have no idea what is likely to work with ubuntu.

The one that seems right for the job is at this URL; Im sorry about
ridiculous length of the url:

https://www.amazon.com/ZOTAC-GeForce-Graphics-IceStorm-ZT-A30600H-10M/dp/B08W8DGK3X/ref=sr_1_9?ascsubtag=wp-us-1279441791324734200-20&geniuslink=true&keywords=Nvidia+GeForce+RTX+3060&qid=1656002361&sr=8-9

How can I go about finding out how it does with linux and in
particular ubuntu-22.04 or 20.04.

I don't see a word in the `answers' section on amazon. The word linux appears
nowhere.

Amazon has laid a really hefty handle on this thing:

ZOTAC Gaming GeForce RTX 3060 Twin Edge OC 12GB GDDR6 192-bit 15 Gbps
PCIE 4.0 Gaming Graphics Card, IceStorm 2.0 Cooling, Active Fan
Control, Freeze Fan Stop ZT-A30600H-10M

That is quite mouth full and makes it hard to run google searches.

(grin)

I think I'm doing this backasswards... I should probably start with a
query like which Graphics cards are known to work well with ubuntu linux.

I'm hoping some of you will have some clues.

My usage will not be particularly extravagant but will include a
hefty load of Image editing. And even some video.

So something with 6 GB ram or so.

The host will have power to burn with 512 GB and 2x Xeon.

I'm well above my fighting weight with this host.... but kind of eager
to see what it can really do.

Back on point: Any one have experience with a semi serious graphics
card with ubuntu?
