While Brother printers do have Linux drivers, you should have seen the
absolute nightmare I had trying to help someone get a Brother printer
hooked up on a Linux machine - I'm not sure if it ever did work
reliably! Just my two cents here - maybe the particular printer I was
dealing with was just tricky, but FWIW, that was my experience.
