PS: Since you mentioned, that the original backup is lost, just in case,
before running whatsoever script, make a backup - if not already done -
by either "sudo cp -ai..." or "sudo tar --xattrs...". You never know!
Even if your script should be absolutely free from mistakes, a
non-atomic operation and a power loss could happen and do harm or the
disk drive will be damaged, while Gojira tears down the house.
