I hope that the Covid situation will fade away so I might wait a while longer...
Over here I have another similar Ubuntu server, which holds the subversion
backup server and I could upgrade it a year or more ago.
But I ran into a number of problems at that time which I do not want to see
again.
After it was release-upgraded I have also migrated it to new hardware so it is
now on 20.04.3.
I took some notes at the time but I was not sure how to proceed now.
