Just a totally different suggestion which I have used "for ages" to keep my
email inbox separate from list content:
I use a *newsreader* rather than my email client to manage my subscriptions.
It has the advantage that you can go back in time and get earlier messages
easily and it automatically threads the messages so keeping each topic together.
The server needed for a newsreader is in my case gmane.
News server address: news.gmane.io
Note: this is NOT a http/https server so you need a separate news-reader
application which uses the NNTP protocol.
But I believe Thunderbird can be used as newsreader too, even though I use Free
Agent since > 15 years.
