No internet under Ubuntu 22.04 after booting into Windows 10

Generally, I am most curious about ways to get the settings to 
auto-detect, since they seem to be auto-detected before and during 
installation, so this must be a very fundamental thing that should be 
here but isn't.

However, many of you have requested that I show information from the 
system, including settings.

I went back into Linux, typed down what I could, and relayed the 
information below. I am pretty sure there are major problems there, 
since I had played with the settings after some days of no network, 
using settings I *thought* were sensible. Note that the problems were 
there *before* I started adjusting the settings.

Here are the errors I saw that came up on the desktop:

     Network Proxy Configuration
     Could not find a useable proxy configuration script.

     Wired interface (eno1)
     IP configuration unavaialble

Settings under "Settings" (for networking)
     all default

Settings under "Connections"
If a field is not mentioned, it is a blank field

Wired Connection 1
General configuration tab
     Connect automatically with priority 99
     All Users may connect to this network (checked)

Wired tab
     Restrict to device: eno1 (MAC address same as in Windows)
     Cloned MAC address: (same)
     MTU: Automatic
     Speed / Duplex: greyed out

802.1x Security tab
     not selected

IPV4 tab
     Method: Automatic
     Other DNS Servers: (same as Windows DNS)
     All other fields are blank

IPV6 tab
     Method: Automatic
     Privacy: Default
     All other fields are blank
