In Germany they sell such cables in elCheapo shops. On the blister they
mention that those are no data cables, but for charging purpose only.

That is really annoying. I've had problems like this countless times
when I've ordered ready-made cables because I didn't want to crimp them
myself. When I got the cables I had to cut the plugs off one end and
crimp them myself. I wished they would sell crimp plug alternatives that
can be soldered.
