Flash drive not automounting today

OK. I have had this problem in the past. I don't know if my work around

So.. I was using an old lenovo ThinkPad to learn stuff, running Ubuntu. And
suddenly, my flash drives stopped automounting.
I looked in my file manager (Nautilus) and the drive name was listed on the
left hand side of the window. Clicking on that mounted the drive and listed
its contents. Not a perfect solution but that is how I handled it.
Does that work for you?
