Thanks for the tip. First, it didn't work on my machine, when doing it as
root:
desktop ~ % LANG=C sudo snap-store --quit
mkdir: cannot create directory '/run/user/0': Permission denied
15:04:33:0242 GLib-GIO g_app_info_get_name: assertion 'G_IS_APP_INFO
(appinfo)' failed
Authorization required, but no authorization protocol specified
15:04:33:0247 Gtk cannot open display: :0
But when doing at as my user, it works.
