A tape cassette is the next design for an HDD, where the head is kept
fixed, removing the need for all the head arm, parking,
etc. shenanigans.

This has been acheived by keeping the magnetic strip straight instead of
being circular. That also simplify the problem of different block size
or number of blocks alongs different tracks because there is only one
track left and the head/track speed is constant.
