How do I restore a hidden application from Xfce's app launcher menu?

I ran into this problem some time ago and eventually found a menu editor 
than I thought is named main_menu that solved the problem, however I 
cannot find it so it could be named something else. The menu editor that 
I'm looking for has check boxes for each application and so it was a 
simple tick or untick the box job.

During my hours of searching, and reconnecting, I did find a suggestion 
that a file containing "hidden=true" needs to be edited. The file 
doesn't seem to exist in Xubuntu 22.04. I expect that there is such a 
file but of a different name.

My current Internet connection is very slow and so searching for help is 
extremely frustrating, I'll consider myself fortunate if I can post this 
e-mail. I did post a request for help on the Xubuntu list but haven't 
received a reply.
