I'll heartily agree with this. It either clicks too much or not
enough or both and it's very sporadic. It can be a frustrating
problem if you're waiting for another mouse, so I always keep at
least one spare mouse for the dreaded moment when this inevitably
happens.
By the way, there's a way to "do surgery" on a mouse and fix the
issue by cleaning and bending the little metal parts inside of it.
There are lots of videos on YouTube showing how it's done if you do a
search for "fix double-click" or "fix mouse" or something similar.
Or, if you're feeling adventurous, you can just open up your mouse and
take a good look at it and figure it our for yourself.
The parts are mighty small and it's tricky to get the bend right, so
there's a good chance that you'll break it entirely. As a result, it
might not be a bad idea to keep a pile of bad mice on hand in case of
a mouse shortage (it could happen), so you'll have multiple attempts
to get that surgery right.
