Problems upgrading 21.10 to 22.04?

That page says there's a bug preventing upgrading from 21.10 to 22.04,
so I've been putting off doing any updates for now.

Do you know if there's any news on when that might be fixed? Obviously
it's done when it's done, but that fact that it's taken longer than
whoever wrote that thought suggests it might be a bigger bug than they
thought it was.
