The latest nufraw release from upstream was nufraw-0.43-3 in March
2020 (> 2 years ago), see https://sourceforge.net/projects/nufraw/files/
.

Related to Ubuntu (flavours) 22.04, see
https://sourceforge.net/p/nufraw/discussion/bugs/thread/e3f65b6508/?limit=25#d06b
.

And FWIW I removed the for me broken nufraw-0.43_3-1 right now from my
Arch Linux install.

Upstream did use a very unusual versioning ;).

Btw. the dependency lensfun has got an unusual history on my Arch
install:

installed lensfun (0.3.2-6)
upgraded  lensfun (0.3.2-6 -> 0.3.2-7)
upgraded  lensfun (0.3.2-7 -> 0.3.2-9)
upgraded  lensfun (0.3.2-9 -> 0.3.95-1)
upgraded  lensfun (0.3.95-1 -> 0.3.95-2)
upgraded  lensfun (0.3.95-2 -> 0.3.95-4)
upgraded  lensfun (0.3.95-4 -> 0.3.95-6)
upgraded lensfun (0.3.95-6 -> 1:0.3.3-1)

The downgrade by an epoch was done 2022-03-01.
