Not enough info.

How is the printer connected?

USB? Ethernet? Wireless network? Something else?

If it's networked, what's its IP address?

My step 1 would have been: go into Settings/Printers and tried adding a printer.

Step 2: if that doesn't work, try the CUPS web admin page
(https://localhost:631 from memory) and try adding it there.
