Hi,

no, a newbie or experienced user should change whatever the user wants
to change, as long as there's no need that anybody else can maintain or
help to maintain the install.

IOW if you are working for a company and a piano falls on your head,
somebody else should be able to understand your install or if you
request help from a community at least the output of lsb_release
shouldn't be tainted.

Editing a Linux Standard Base file that is aimed to provide information
about the install, instead of editing the related bootloader menu
file/s to generate menu entries of a bootloader menu is absolutely
counterproductive. In this case the assumption "whoever heals is right"
is wrong, since it's a pseudo-healing. You are healing a bootloader
menu entry by damaging an organ.

Regards,
Ralf
