Editing grub boot menu, how to save?

No there is not.
You cannot save these changes.
The GRUB menu is generated by a program every time you run
`update-grub`. You can't change it because [1] it would make it too
easy for people to break their bootloader and [2] it would be
over-written next time anyway.
You can't edit these entries.
You can add your own manual entries on the end of the list if you
wish. I don't advise it because they won't get updated.
I don't know of a permanent way to change the descriptions that GRUB generates.
