I too miss Unity, but am learing to live with gnome for the most part, I did
unntentionly get the Unity version of 21.10 (Impish) looked good (Live on my
non-nVidia box(s)) If i can get around the nVidia problem with the
Live/Installer I will have it on a box for long(ish) testing

I have a similar liking for VBA in my spreadsheets/docs (the last real anchor
keeping me with a Win machine (1 of 8 boxies)) I have had much success with
Office via Wine last time I forgot to add VBA Help at install time, and for
some reason I could not add it later, but AFAICS all other features worked, and
Wine has come a long way since, it is on my "RoundToit" list
