Thanks ever so much for pointing this out, but I know little about ppas
and trust, AFAICT the gold standard for trust being the Ubuntu
repositories. I've been reading about this on askubuntu and as the guy
has been a launchpad member for 16 years and has signed the Ubuntu Code
of Conduct this suggests a high degree of trust? If you're listening,
Dariusz, nothing personal, I'm just trying to understand.
I have already got a couple of other ppas set up for getting the nice,
simple pogo audio player and encryptpad installed. No apparent problems
with any of my computers.

Going off topic for a few lines, I occasionally have a fiddle with HDR.
I do it by correctly exposing a single raw file for the brightest
region in the subject then processing it through ufraw at several
levels of brightness to get the multiple exposures. This avoids
problems with clouds and tree branches moving in the wind between
exposures.

Personally I prefer the natural effect to try to get an image file that
represents my perception of the scene at the time. Different effects
please different people and if it pleases then it's good.
