This notebook was used over a timespan of 8 years as my main work PC, always
docked and with the lid closed, except when I was on business trips.
It was running Windows 7 at the time.
I am now repurposing it as a video downloader box since I found that my main
Ubuntu server has a rather poor CPU with not enough computing power causing
random pauses in the resulting videos.
My Ubuntu server:
AMD Athlon(tm) II X2 220 Processor
2 CPU's
The laptop runs on this:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2630QM CPU @ 2.00GHz
8 CPU's
As I have written earlier in this thread the issue is now resolved and the
laptop is in operation, seems to work fine,
Now I need to find replacement hardware for the server...
