So what is the problem here?

A headless desktop makes no sense. There's no point in having a GUI if
you don't have a screen to display it and a mouse to operate it.

Headless server is doable --  I have done it. But use an Ethernet
cable. Wifi is not a replacement for Ethernet and wifi is not suitable
for servers .
