FWIW I can add a couple more.

I have a Creative Technology, Ltd Live! Cam Chat HD [VF0700] bought
for use on my old Mac mini -- therefore selected for macOS
compatibility. (Note capitalisation; this refers to the former Mac OS
X. The old, "Classic" OS was MacOS with a capital M.)

The Mac mini was replaced with an iMac with a built-in camera. I was
going to sell it, but due to the COVID pandemic, I now must work from
home and the Creative camera works seamlessly on Linux, in Cheese,
Skype, MS Teams, Google Meet, etc. Its microphone is also recognised
and works but I normally use a headset or earphones.

I also have an old Intel USB camera, model CS430. This used to work
with WinXP. Now it is not recognised by anything. Linux sees there is
a camera, but it shows no image, not with Cheese, Skype, or anything.
It is not recognised on Win10 and while macOS sees it, no image is
displayed.
