Which version of MS Office?

I used to use Word 97. This runs perfectly on WINE $current, including
installing service releases etc.

But pinning to the launcher did not work.

I could not get MS Word 2003 to install properly on plain vanilla
WINE. I also tried MS Word 2000 which installs but I cannot update
with the latest service releases. I do not have Office XP to try.

For one project in 2016-2017 I ran Word 2003 on Crossover Office,
which worked perfectly including pinning to the launcher. However,
this is a commercial product.
