Getting strange character output in PuTTY on one Ubuntu machine

I checked the fonts used by PuTTY in the two cases and the good one used Hack
whereas the bad one used Courier New.
Changing the bad connection PuTTY profile to also use Hack solved the problem!
Not an Ubuntu issue at all!
