Using ostree

Core is completely built fron snap packages, kernel, bootloader and
rootfs as well as all apps on top are snap packages (with the ability
of automatic roll-back on failure for each of them, binary delta
upgrades and all other bells and whistles snaps have built in)

There is a Core Desktop project that is probably the closest to
silverblue you can find in ubuntu.

Core is used a lot in Industrial PLCs, Medical devices, Automotive,
Robotics, Digital sigage, POS systems, Networking hardware (switches,
routers APs) and consumer electronics ... 

it is a typical appliance OS
