xpdf for 20.10?

Have you tried the evince document viewer?

I now use the MATE atril document viewer, as, with the trends in Linux 
software, the evince document viewer has done away with the menu bar in 
21.04, but, at present, the menu bar is still available in the atril 
document viewer.

Anyway, if you haven't already, I suggest that you try the evince 
document viewer.
