xt_geoip module disappeared after kernel upgrade 5.8.0-44

Today I upgraded Ubuntu VM to kernel version 5.8.0 and my geoip in iptables are gone.
Using
	modprobe xt_geoip
returns
	modprobe: FATAL: Module xt_geoip not found in directory /lib/modules/5.8.0-44-generic

I did a reinstall of xtables-addons-common module, however, it does not bring it back.
Can I do anything to repair this, or di I have to go back to 5.8.0-43-generic?
