ubuntu 16.04. Change label extreme portable SSD

Hi

I just received a scandisk extreme portable SSD.

 Sudo mount tells me

/dev/sdb1 on /media/oub/Extreme SSD type fuseblk (rw,nosuid,nodev,noatime,user_id=0,group_id=0,default_permissions,allow_other,blksize=4096,uhelper=udisks2)

And

sudo fdisk -l

/dev/sdb1 2048 1953523711 1953521664 931.5G 7 HPFS/NTFS/exFAT

That looks ok, since I need to transfer data between my linux machine
and MacBook Air (and maybe even windows machines).

What bothers me is the label, since it contains a space (sigh)

I googled but it is not entirely clear how to change the label name for
this file format without damaging it.

Any advice or pointers are welcome

Regards

Uwe Brauer
