ZTE phones as modems on Beaver - anyone try that?

Yes, there are always tradeoffs including battery power for redundant
stuff if it can't be shutoff. I think the problem I have now
is the wifi router gets confused. I probably just need the cell
modem to use my email command program ( " Mikemail " but I think
I've seen other stuff that does similar things ) to hopefully
reset the router via  its REST API ( actually a bunch of browser
pages I need to spoof lol ). 

Its amazing though the number of kinds of robust systems
you can make with an old laptop and USB peripheral.

Curious if anyone has bought lab equipment lately, is it all
USB ? Whatever happened to RS-232 or IEEE-488 lol.
