Weird problem with mate-screensaver

Hi,
No solution here but I suffer from the same issue, I was wondering if it
has anything do do with an error I see at boot up, error message is only on
screen for approx 0.5 of a second, and I cannot find any errors in logs.
The error is something to do with ACPI , alas I cannot be more precise as I
can never read it.

Hope this helps you to investigate further as this screensaver / greeter
issue seems to be intermittent
