"Google for "NV4"" was a typo, it should read "NV4x"

All I can see are NVIDIA related threads from around 2004. No BIOS
support related website whatsoever.

You probably have got better information than "Manufacturer: Notebook".
On the case of the Notebook there's probably mentioned the real vendor
and maybe there's additional information related to the typ, by a type
label. Is it a notebook that was sold by a discounter? You don't own a
classic manual on paper?
