Hi,
sda is a kernel name descriptor for a block device. Those can change
with each boot. It's better to use persistent naming, such as by-label.
While in my experiences even sda, sdb etc. are persistent, you can not
use an USB stick with a live ISO to check, if the drive is or isn't
sda.
However, you might need to reinstall the bootloader and/or edit BIOS
settings.
You mention "security boot", does this mean there's an option named
"security boot" or "secure boot" that can be enabled or disabled, or
are there several options such as "CSM support", "Boot mode selection"
and "Storage Boot Option Control"? My mobo has got no "secure boot"
option, but a "CSM support" option and those other mentioned options to
select between different "UEFI" and "Legacy" settings/combinations.
Just in case, after changing the boot order you did not forget to save
the settings?
Regards,
Ralf
