ubuntu-20.04 ignores domain name setting from DHCP (option 15)

The tird answer in
https://serverfault.com/questions/485448/how-to-set-hostname-domainname-from-dhcp

states, that dhclient does NOT support setting the domain-name. But this page
is 8 years old. Does dhclient still not support this?
