Focal: strange behavior of the prompt for the tcsh shell

Thanks! I also tried some solution came up with 
set prompt   = '%B%n@%m: %~> '

But I think I will stick with your  setting comes closest to what I want

Yes very strange, but I don't think I will file a bug report.
