This is the result of filesystem corruption on your system, rather than
a general problem.  (The .list files are maintained by dpkg; they can
only contain this sort of garbage if the filesystem is corrupt, although
it's possible the corruption is localised if you did something like
pulling the power at some point.)

I'd remove the affected .list files and reinstall the corresponding
packages, one by one if necessary; I'd also check system logs for disk
errors.
