Canon Pixma G3501 at *Ubuntu 18.04 LTS: help needed to get the scanner running.

Device "networked": yes and no.
YES, because the device DOES get wireless signals in the same WIFI
environment as my laptop and mobile. It is designed to function also
wirelessly.
NO, because so far I did not manage to find out how to get get wireless
signals to it from a Linux Ubuntu environment. So far, I have been using
a usb cable to get pages printed. All my unfruitful scan attempts so far
took place via the same USB cable.

Good point. May be it's because I have been using so far the drivers
that came up when connecting the device to *Ubuntu 18.04.
