Hi Volker,

thank you, the quality of the images is ok. Unfortunately my computer
does not have the resources to use Geekie without side effects.

Scaled down images are ok.

When comparing one picture after the other within one window it takes
time until the scaled down picture is rendered. It's quite fast, but
not fast enough to compare by switching between pictures. It's what I
probably need to get used too.

If comparing one picture after the other in different windows, it takes
time until the GTK widget shows a picture. Before it shows an image
it's flashing black and white. This does terrorize the eyes, so it's no
option.

I suspect that no Linux software can handle raw images? And if software
would be able to display raw images, it would probably be way slower
than viewing JPEGs.
