Why the changes to the 18.04 desktop?

In what way?  I don't think I posted that before, if I did then my
memory must be failing even more rapidly than I thought, as I had to
go and search for it in my notes to find it.

In Settings > Keyboard Shortcuts you can setup a key combination to
run the commands.
