apart from running under confinement (so a malicious mail attachment
you accidentially click on cant steal your bitcoin passwords from disk)
you are not bound to the ubuntu archive with snaps or even the
underlying distro release, so updates can roll in at a way faster pace
which is a real advantage for any third party out-of-distro software.
i.e. TB 79.x.x will likely show up as a snap long before hitting the
archive (if it gets updated in 20.10 at all, typically only LTS
releases see such updates).
