Server 20.04 - sane is not responding

That sounds a bit like its address is out of the 256 address block the
rest of your network is on. I've a huge 11x17 capable brother MFC and I
had to go into its own panel menu's and put its ipv4 address into my
home net block as I'm not running in the 192.168.0 or 1.xxx block. Now
it Just Works.
You may have to do the same before sane can find it. This printer also
has usb ports but they are buried so deep inside it that a 5 foot usb
cable isn't long enough to reach the cpu machine so there is usb-3 hub
hanging in mid-air behind it. But I don't think sane can find it as a
usb-3 device so both cables are plugged in.
