Is there a [default] delete line shortcut in Ubuntu

Ctrl/U only works if you set it up in .gtkrc-2.0 with the Emacs theme.
I have this set up and it works in most places, not just the Command
Line.
However it doesn't work in Digikam and I want a Delete Line short cut
in Digikam. I suspect this *may* be because Digikam is a KDE program.
