Not _always_.

Google Chrome (and any other Google native-Linux apps that may still
exist, e.g. Google Earth) adds its own repositories to your list and
will so get updated from then on in.

Skype does the same.

So, I discovered last week, does MICROS~1 Teams, at least on openSUSE
but I bet it will on *buntu as well.

I think this is a growing trend and I think it's a good idea.
