i worked on a snap package for a while [1] and it is close to be fully
done (there are issues with systems that use the nvidia driver (it
doesnt start there atm) that i need to fix)

feel free to try it out ... :)

(sudo snap install zoom-client --edge)

thanks to the snap confinement scurity flaws like the one that hits
zoom on macs wouldnt be possible with it ... i also plan to keep it up
to date (and thus it will automatically 
update through the snap store)
