Wellllll I may be a bit old-school, but

a) someone who can change the groups users belong to had BETTER know
what groups they should belong to.

b) someone with administrator privileges on a computer should probably
read and understand the instructions for commands that can change
privileges, especially their own privileges.

c) reality has no obligation to conform to your expectations

d) but with Linux it's really easy to make a reality of your own, using
scripts, aliases or even recompiling utilities from source with your
own changes in them.
