It's beyond my understanding why anybody wants to use LVM (alike)
approaches even for a server. Unless somebody doesn't maintain a huge
server farm, it gains absolutely nothing, but trouble.
When I dd'ed https://www.nomadbsd.org/ to an USB stick, I wasn't
surprised about the ZFS attitude, but actually it doesn't make sense
for an USB stick.
This "volume" approach makes sense for a server farm, but no sense at
all for a small server, a desktop computer, let alone an USB stick.
