Install Ubuntu in Hp Pavilion gaming computer with windows 10

  I know this is likly off topic for Ubuntu?  I bought a Hp desktop 
used, has windows installed. Dvd drive does not work right, So have 
Thumb drive with Ubuntu installed. I can't figure out how to delete Boot 
security. Somebody has done this I would appreciator some help with this 
if  somene  is willing. Microsoft doesn't make it easy for sure. So 
simple in linux to change  to another flavor I started using  Ubuntu 
Maybe the first year it was available and I had forgotten what a pain in 
the rear end Windows is. The last I used was windows 98 I think. Thanks
