I did a bit of searching - this HP page suggests you can use Windows to
"Create a bootable USB Key to update the system BIOS." using Windows. I
know that it is not precisely what you want but it is a start. You could
use a Windows computer to create a bootable USB key on a different computer
and then use the bootable USB key on your HP laptop.
